The Fires, This Time: Rabbi Soloveichik and George Weigel

In June 2025, Mohamed Soliman yelled "Free Palestine" as he threw Molotov cocktails at a crowd peacefully advocating for the release of the hostages still being held by Hamas. His attack injured over a dozen people, including a Holocaust survivor, and an elderly woman later died from wounds she suffered during the incident.

In the wake of this horrific episode, Rabbi Soloveichik joined Catholic theologian George Weigel at the Benson Center for the Study of Western Civilization at the University of Colorado Boulder for a conversation about the rise of anti-Semitism in America from both the Jewish and Christian perspectives.
