In Chapter 6 of Pirkei Avot, Rabbi Hershel Lutch teases out three different approaches to Jewish learning. First, that God has given the Jewish people freedom not just to pursue their own desires, but to pursue Torah and spiritual enrichment. Second, that Torah study and religious growth requires hard and sustained work. And third, that God loves the Jewish people and humanity, and has given His Torah as an inheritance and a gift to be treasured.
