Last month, the member states of the International Criminal Court (ICC)—a group that does not include Israel or the U.S.—voted to remove Karim Khan from his position as chief prosecutor due to allegations of sexual misconduct. Khan’s colleagues naturally claimed that the accusations were part of an Israeli plot to tarnish his name after he had issued spurious warrants for the arrest of Benjamin Netanhyahu and his former defense minister Yoav Gallant. But the chronology suggests that the arrow of causation points in the opposite direction. Orde Kittrie writes:
