Ed Koch: Happy Political Warrior and Proud Jew

Today is the tenth anniversary of the death of Ed Koch, who served as mayor of New York City from 1978 until 1989. Best known for his role in bringing the city out of its crime-ridden and near-bankrupt nadir of the 1970s, Koch was rarely soft-spoken about anything, and certainly not about being Jewish.
