Senior Lebanese figures have recently made statements critical or dismissive of Iran and Hizballah that would have been hard to imagine two years ago. And yesterday, Tom Barrack, the U.S. envoy to Syria and Lebanon, arrived in Israel to discuss Hizballah’s disarmament with Prime Minister Netanyahu (among other topics). Barrack reportedly heads to Beirut today.
