In Missouri, Local Issues Trumped Hating Israel

“They say death to Israel, comma, death to America.”

To see that Abdul El-Sayed’s brand of anti-Israel (and anti-American) radicalism won’t win everywhere, look no further than the Missouri congressional district where Wesley Bell, for the second time in a row, beat Cori Bush for the Democratic nomination to the House. Bush, a former member of Congress’s progressive “Squad,” followed El-Sayed’s campaign strategy, leading Bell to quip that “the ‘M’ in Missouri doesn’t stand for Middle East.
