Israel-Kazakh Relations Provide a New Model for Diplomacy with the Muslim World

Bilateral ties might matter more than grand gestures.

On Monday, President Isaac Herzog visited Astana, where he met with his Kazakh counterpart. The two discussed “tripling” trade between the countries and building on the Abraham Accords, which Kazakhstan joined last November (even though it has had diplomatic relations with Israel since 1992).
