Israel Should Strike Iran Across the Middle East, but Avoid Full-Scale War

Hybrid warfare.

A large number of Israelis believe that a major war against Hizballah, which has been attacking the Jewish state continuously since October 8, is inevitable. Many even think it’s necessary to wrap up the war in Gaza in order to turn to the north. On Sunday, the Lebanon-based group shot an anti-tank missile at a town in the Galilee, wounding three people—besides launching 30 rockets into Israel. Yet James Stavridis, while agreeing that Jerusalem can’t be passive about the threat from Hizballah, argues that such a war is unlikely to be decisive, and instead recommends what has become known as hybrid warfare:
