James Joyce’s Jewish Biographer

The hero of James Joyce’s most famous book, Ulysees, was of Jewish ancestry, and the role of Jews in the Irish novelist’s work has been much discussed, including in Mosaic. After the fictional Leopold Bloom, the Jew most associated with Joyce might be his biographer, Richard Ellman.
