Lebanon Doesn’t Have the Ability to Enforce Any Deal It Makes with Israel

Hizballah remains stronger than the army.

Parallel to the showdown in the Persian Gulf, negotiations have continued between Israel and Lebanon in Rome. The latest development is a reported agreement between the parties to invite Britain, Italy, Switzerland, and Indonesia to deploy troops to verify the disarmament of Hizballah in southern Lebanon.
