After two months of mass demonstrations at the border fence, which became increasingly violent and destructive, Hamas returned to its earlier tactic of launching rockets and mortars at Israeli towns and villages. As there is now reason to believe that the violence is winding down, talk is turning to the question of whether Israel should take a new approach to Gaza.
