In the past few years, Dana Nessel, Michigan’s Democratic (and Jewish) attorney general, has repeatedly been hounded by her fellow party members for not showing sufficient hostility to Israel, and for trying to protect her state’s citizens from the harassment of anti-Israel mobs. She has on occasion displayed courage in standing up to those hounding her. But recently, as Seth Mandel writes, Nessel “all but endorsed the man at the center of Michigan’s current anti-Semitic inflammation, the Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, . . . in a way that brought maximum dishonor on the rest of the American Jewish community.”
