Nuclear Negotiations with Iran Are Doomed to Fail

The regime is too rigid to bend—it can only break.

On Friday, talks between the U.S. and Iran began in Oman, where the two sides attempted to find a way for the Islamic Republic to make concessions on its weapons programs (and perhaps other issues as well) in exchange for sanctions relief. Both parties reported that the talks went well, but Washington has also tightened various sanctions since then. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Netanyahu is planning to come to the U.S. on Wednesday to discuss the negotiations with President Trump.
