On Monday, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich signed an agreement to unite his National Religious party with the far-right party Zehut, led by Moshe Feiglin, for the upcoming election. The agreement allows Zehut to avoid its fate in the last election, when it failed to get the minimum number of votes required for representation in the Knesset. Smotrich, for his part, is responding to his erstwhile partner Itamar Ben-Gvir’s decision to end the alliance between their respective parties. But the real wild card among the current congeries of right-wing parties is the political newcomer Ofer Winter and his newly formed Amcha Yisrael.
