Pursuant to the Trump peace plan, Jerusalem is now considering fully applying civil law to areas of the West Bank that have no Palestinian residents, and which would remain under Israel’s control in any foreseeable version of the two-state solution. Such a move, often described as “annexation,” has been widely condemned in advance.
