The Recent Attacks on the Jewish National Fund Involve a Tacit Acceptance of Bigotry

Let the JNF do its job.

Established in 1901 by the Zionist Congress to purchase land for settlement in Ottoman Palestine, the Jewish National Fund (JNF) today has custodianship over some 15 percent of Israel’s territory. Last week, the State Department, the Union for Reform Judaism, and others condemned this venerable institution for its plans to authorize the use of its funds for buying land in the West Bank.
