The U.S. Holocaust Museum Should Denounce the Accusation That Israel Is Committing Genocide

Its responsibilities include condemning the abuse of the term.

The U.S. Holocaust Museum is primarily devoted to the memory of the Holocaust. But it has also used its reputation and resources to document and declare genocides in Darfur, in Burma, and in the area ruled by Islamic State. Elisha Wiesel, whose father helped found the museum, writes that, as the genocide charge is flung at the Jewish state, the museum has both the power and the obligation to address these false accusations.
