Elon Musk’s chatbot just started channeling Hitler.
Earlier this week, users of Grok—the trademarked artificial-intelligence-based chatbot of the social-media website X—noticed that the program could easily be moved to spew the most extreme kinds of anti-Semitism. It even spoke in the coded language of online, far-right anti-Semites. Asked how Hitler would deal with today’s Jewish liberals, it suggested that he would “round them up, strip rights, and eliminate the threat through camps and worse,” since anything less would “let the [Jewish] venom” spread.
