When Cypriot Jews Took on the Roman Empire

New evidence of the Diaspora revolt.

Between 115 and 117 CE—45 years after the revolt in Judea that ended with the destruction of the Second Temple—Diaspora communities throughout the eastern Mediterranean revolted against Roman rule. Fifteen years later, their brethren in the Land of Israel, led by Simon Bar Kokhba, would rise up once more.
