Why Is the White House Hiding the Truth about Its Iran Envoy?

Robert Malley was doing exactly what he was hired to do.

Two months ago, Robert Malley was put on unpaid leave from his position as the U.S. special envoy for Iran. State Department officials had initially told Congress that his leave was personal in nature, but it was subsequently found out that he had lost his security clearance. On Sunday, the Tehran Times, an Iranian mouthpiece, published what appears to be a formal memo explaining the revocation of his clearance. Malley meanwhile earned himself a visiting professorship at Princeton, and is expected to teach at Yale this fall. Seth Mandel comments:
