A Painting Stolen from a Dutch Jewish Collector Resurfaces in Argentina

Recently a real-estate website posted a photograph of a luxury property in Argentina that showed, hanging on a wall, a painting that disappeared 80 years ago. The property belonged to Patricia Kadgien, who inherited the painting from her father, Friedrich—who, like many other former Nazis, had settled in the country following World War II. After launching a dragnet in search of the painting, Argentine authorities succeeded in locating it. Isabel Debre reports:
