A Suburban New Jersey Congressional Primary Is a Warning for American Jews

The Mamdani effect.

One of the great dangers of Zohran Mamdani’s electoral victory in New York City isn’t any policy he could enact or retract, but the message it sends to the Democratic party. If Mamdani could win in such a heavily Jewish city, far-left, anti-Israel candidates will be seen as viable everywhere. The recent congressional race in the 11th district of New Jersey suggests that there might indeed be a Mamdani effect.
