If the Saudis have any hope besides assistance from Israel (or America) in the Red Sea, it is that the U.S. economic campaign against Iran—involving sanctions, a counterblockade in the Persian Gulf, and other measures—will eventually lead the Islamic Republic to collapse or to retreat.
