One can only hope that Vice-President J.D. Vance capably represented U.S. interests when meeting with Iranian negotiators yesterday. But his statement last week, in which he complained about Israeli cabinet members “attacking the only powerful ally that [they] have anywhere left in the entire world” is damaging regardless.
