On June 23, the Board of Peace—the U.S.-backed body tasked with supervising the governance of postwar Gaza—welcomed a contingent of Moroccan troops who had arrived in Israel to take part in peacekeeping efforts. Although at least four other countries have pledged to contribute to the prospective international force, the Moroccans are the first contingent to arrive.
