No, the Current Deal Wasn’t on the Table in 2024

A weakened Hamas has made greater concessions.

The return of murderous terrorists who can rebuild Hamas and cause future wars is likely the greatest flaw in the U.S.-brokered cease-fire agreement. But the key complaint of Vox News’s Zack Beauchamp—who famously accused Israel of closing down the bridge connecting Gaza to the West Bank—is that Jerusalem could have accepted this same agreement in September 2024.
