Remembering the Druze Revolt of a Century Ago

The past and present of a small, but important, Middle Eastern religious community.

While calm still holds in southern Syria, and Damascus and Jerusalem have reportedly resumed talks with the aim of avoiding future flare-ups and improving relations, the events of the past week are a useful reminder of the importance of the Druze to the Levant. To learn about the Druze of contemporary Israel, I recommend two articles by William F.S.
