Setting the Record Straight about Medieval Jewry and Anti-Semitism

In a recent speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition, Vice-President J.D. Vance deployed the phrase “blood libel” in a way entirely disconnected form its original meaning. Among his critics were the hosts of Pod Save America, one of the country’s leading center-left podcasts. These impressively credentialed former Obama administration staffers, in all-too-typical fashion, mocked Vance for his ignorance while showing that they themselves had no better sense of what the term means, or its history.
