The Council on American-Islamic Relations Has a Terrorism Problem

The federal government should take action.

Formed in 1994, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has successfully cultivated an image of itself as a civil-rights and advocacy group equivalent to the ADL or NAACP. Its founders were representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood and the organization itself has been tied to efforts to raise funds for Hamas. In the past year, Texas and Florida have both designated CAIR a terrorist organization. Meanwhile, California has been funneling public funds to its state branch.
