Dissecting the Genocide Lie
First, stop playing the numbers game.
The argument that the IDF is committing “genocide” usually boils down to some variation of “lots of people have been killed and a lot of them are civilians.” What follows are usually questionable or demonstrably false statistics. More importantly, writes John Spencer, the numbers by themselves, even if accurate, “would not mean anything for the legality, morality, or conduct” of the war. Spencer has also written a systematic refutation of Omer Bartov’s recent libel of the Israeli government and Israeli people in the New York Times:
