Influencers Won’t Save Israel’s Good Name

Social-media hasbarah can do more harm than good.

Accusations of genocide have succeeded not because of reasoned arguments but because of emotional appeals, the misuse of authority, and the power of social media. Influential Jews have reasonably concluded that, to combat such libels, similar methods must be used. Yet, as in most efforts to fight anti-Semitism, there is a gulf between ends and means.
