Last week, the vice-president’s office sent out electronic invitations to a Hanukkah party it is hosting that are dressed up as Christmas cards—with the words “golden Noel” emblazoned on the top. With all the insults and calumnies being hurled at Jews these days, not to mention bloody physical attacks, it’s hard to justify paying too much attention to this one. But J.D.
