Slovenia’s Jews Face Mounting Hostility

The long history of a small community.

Speaking of anti-Semitic stupidities, one story that’s been in the news lately is the decision of Spain, Ireland, and the Netherlands not to participate in the annual Eurovision song contest over its decision not to ban Israel. But the first country to announce its boycott was Slovenia, which has turned increasingly against the Jewish state in recent years. This turn has been felt most of all by its small community of some 100 Jews. Larry Luxner writes:
