To express support for the measure, the far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and some of his associates, have begun wearing small yellow pins in the shape of noose—inspired by the yellow ribbons worn to show solidarity with the hostages. While the moral and practical merits of the measure can be debated, there is nothing wrong, on a fundamental level, with punishing murderers with the fate they inflicted on others.
