In a recent interview, the newly elected Slovenian prime minister announced his plans to move the country’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Robert Baruch Waltl, director of the Jewish Cultural Center Ljubljana, and many of his Jewish compatriots hope the new government will also spell better conditions for the country’s small Jewish community, which has seen an upswing of anti-Semitism in the past three years.
