Much like its patrons in Tehran, Hamas sees survival as tantamount to victory, and values steadfastness above all. The terrorist group has been demonstrating that it is undefeated by reestablishing its rule over the area west of the yellow line, from which the IDF has withdrawn. Defeating Hamas will not just involve disarmament and installing a new regime throughout Gaza, but also changing a society where elementary schools and children’s television characters indoctrinate one generation after another to glorify the slaughter of Jews.
